The man behind the sausage
One Autumn evening, my wife and daughter were out and was instructed to ‘sort myself out some dinner’. I immediately went to the shops, bought some Maris Pipers, some bog standard sausages and gravy granules.
Sitting eating my sausage and mash, I thought about my day job as a butchers rep and all the different flavours of sausages I had at my disposal. Then I started thinking about the different types of food we could add to mashed potato which spiraled. The same with the gravy. From then on, Sausage Bros was born.
Everyone I spoke to said they’d never seen a street food stand selling sausage and mash, so I got to planning how to execute this to the masses. After lots of sleepless nights, I got my plan down and started buying equipment to set up my own food business without a Danny Roo on where I was going to find my first event.
After a year of serving our local community across multiple events, private parties and weddings, we’re excited to see what the future brings to our family run food business.
